Housing prices on Long Island skyrocketed due to extremely high demand coupled with limited inventory. Bidding wars erupted with selling prices going for $100,000 over asking. Now we are living with the fallout of the pandemic Supply Chain problems brought rising inflation.  The Fed stepped in by raising interest rates and hasn't stopped.
